THE CITY BOOKSHOP
Norwich, Norfolk
Situated in the heart of Norwich on a bustling pedestrianised street connecting the historic Norman Castle and Norwich's fine open air Market, The City Bookshop is an independent bookshop with a difference. We are a family run business with knowledge built up over thirty years on the written word and the history of Norfolk which is reflected in the superb selection of books we stock covering subjects such as Norfolk, Suffolk and the Broads, Children's, Military, Transport, Art plus many others. Unusually, we sell both new (full price and reduced price) and second-hand books (including antiquarian), all attractively displayed to help you choose your books more easily. With large windows, our shop is bright and airy creating a lovely, relaxed shopping experience.
We also have an exhibition room upstairs with a wonderful high ceiling and large georgian windows which makes it a beautiful room for our exhibits of local history (such as 'Broads for Hire' and 'Maps of Norwich') and the works of some very talented local artists. Pictures of previous exhibits can be found here. Details of our forthcoming exhibitions can be found here. We also have a selection of greeting cards, Ladbrooke lithographs and prints by Brian Lewis.
We are open seven days a week (Monday to Friday 9.30am-5.15pm; Saturday 9.00am-5.30pm; Sunday 11.00am-4.30pm) so whenever you are in Norwich, please pop in to see us; we are approachable and knowledgable and always pleased to help. If you are unable to visit Norwich, please feel free to browse our online shop; not all of our stock is online yet so please contact us if you cannot find what you are looking for.
