Volume III is near fine with a little soiling to the edges and includes all 16 charts in the rear pocket which are also near fine. The dust jacket has staining and soiling along with creases and very small chips to several parts. 8 volumes in very good conditon. Volume 1 (1st Ed.) has fine clean boards but some sunning to the spine. The page edges are a little spotted but the contents are fine and clean. Volume 2 (1st Ed.) has some damp staining to the boards and sunning to the spine but little wear. A newspaper cutting has been tipped into the front pastedown and there is a bookplate to the verso of the ffep. There are purple and blue ink notations to a small number of pages and the addendums to this volume have been tipped into their respective place. Otherwise the contents are fine. Volume 3 (1st Ed.) has damp staining, sunning to the spine and knocks to the corners and upper board. Bookplate to the verso of the ffep and with notation to the top of the preface. Otherwise the contents are in very good clean condition and with the 3 maps in the rear pocket fine. Volume 4 (1993 Facsimile) and Volume 5 (1993 Facsimile) are in fine clean condition. Map Volume 1 has a worn and soiled case with library markings and its lower board has a tear. The maps are all present and in fine clean condition with no library markings. Map Volume 2 is in similar condition without the tear. All the maps are present and in fine clean condition but the rear of each has a pencilled numerical code. Appendices Volume 1 (1st Ed.) is in very good clean condition with soiling to the upper edges and fine contents. It is the only volume with a dust jacket and this has minor wear, tear and soiling with chips to the tips of the spine. A very heavy set for overseas shipping purposes. There is cracking between it and the half title page and there is partial cracking to some of the gatherings. Otherwise the contents are in very good and unmarked condition.
