Rebacked in green cloth with original boards worn at the corners and with new endpapers. Signature dated 1952 to the half title page which has an inscription dated 1874 to the verso. Modest tanning to the text and illustrations otherwise in very good clean internal condition and with 36 page publisher catalogue to the rear dated November 1873. Green cloth boards with gilt decoration to the front are rubbed and have slight staining to the rear. The spine is rubbed and soiled with minor nicks to the tips. Cracking to a glue repaired front endpaper and with gathering C partly loose along with the rear free endpaper. London Jarrold & Sons N.D. Sixth Edition Hardcover Very Good 
An edition in red cloth boards which are bright and clean though with sunning and a little staining to the spine. Soundly bound with clean edges and with slightly cracked front endpapers. Small vignettes have been stuck down to the verso of the preface and the illustration list plus there is a large vignette to the verso of the illustration list. These have left some staining but the remainder of the contents are in fine clean condition. The folding map in the rear pocket is a 'Reduced Map' which has foxing, small tears/wear to the edges plus an old stained tape repair.
