2 volume set in an original red cloth blind stamped binding with title in gilt to the spines. The boards are sound with minor soiling however there is some wear to the spines which have small loss to the bottom edges and nicks to the top. Modest soiling to the page edges with an owners stamp to the bottom of each volume. The hinges of all the endpapers are 'repaired' with a dark blue cloth tape however the boards of volume one are close to becoming detached between the title page and preface; thus causing the condition being reduced to fair rather than good. No further damage noted to either volume and with contents (including folding plan of Paris) largely in very good clean condition.
