Two volume set in half calf which is sound and only slightly rubbed; and with five gilt lined raised bands and gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in very good clean condition and the marbled endpapers are fine but with the small labels of Joan Corder to the front pastedowns. Both volumes are well bound and with clean page edges. Some of the engraved plates have foxing but are otherwise fine. The foxing has spread to the facing pages but most of the contents have little or no foxing and are largely fine. Notation to a blank free in the first volume states, "Given to E R Pratt by Daniel Gurney the author 1850 and re-bound by me [date?]. E R Pratt." N.B. The Pratts of Ryston Hall, Norfolk.
