Two volume set with original blindstamped cloth boards and with gilt lettering to the sunned spine which is slightly nicked to the top of the first volume. Both with soiled upper page edges and largely uncut. The verso of the ffep to the first has an inscription from a member of the Gurney family to Henry Birkbeck dated 1862.
